CR7 Rewarding European Golden Boot


Cristiano Ronaldo is officially earned his European Golden Boot 2010/2011 season thanks to 40 goals that he created in La Liga. CR7 mention that this award was not him, but belongs to all Real Madrid.

As quoted from the official site of UEFA, on Monday (05/23/2011) afternoon local time, CR7 earn points at 80, the results of the 40 goals he created multiplied by two (which is the rate coefficient of La Liga).

"Golden Shoes is a beautiful thing, because this is the result of hard work the team-mates, coaching staff, all employees and directors of clubs, and also support the fans. Golden boot are not mine but belongs to all Real Madrid, "Ronaldo told the United States quoted by the official FIFA website.

This is the second time the Portugal footballer won the European Golden Boot award after earlier in the season 2007/2008. While it Manchester United's Ronaldo, who strengthens recorded 31 goals.

This is the third time in a row winning the European Golden Boot come from La Liga, after Diego Forlan (64 points in the 2008/2009 season) and Lionel Messi (68 points in season 2009/2010).

This season is also the first time European Golden Boot winner recorded a point 80. There has never been a reach value as high as that in earlier times.

But Ronaldo's 40 goals that were created still less than the record Mario Jardel. FC Porto striker scored 42 goals in season 2001/2002, but still lose points for the affairs of the League since the coefficient of Portugal is still lower than the Spanish League.
